AEFIS

Currently, Texas A&M uses AEFIS (Assessment, Evaluation, Feedback & Intervention System) for annual program assessment, student course evaluations, core curriculum assessment and CD/ICD assessment. All told, AEFIS is comprised of 8 solutions that are integrated with each other and, in the future, with Canvas. The Offices of Institutional Effectiveness & Evaluation is working with institutional and college leadership to identify priorities for rolling out the multiple solutions for campus use.

Data Collection

As of Spring 2019, Texas A&M uses the Data Collection solution for documentation of annual program assessment. This is a form-based solution that allows academic and academic/student support and administrative unit users to document and submit their annual assessment plans and reports through a multi-step, feedback-based workflow.

Course Evaluation + Feedback

Course Evaluation

Effective Fall 2020, Texas A&M University will support student course evaluation processes using AEFIS. For more information about Student Course Evaluations, including their purpose and best practices, refer to the Student Course Evaluation page.

Outcome Assessment + Evidence Collection

Texas A&M University currently supports the Core Curriculum artifact scoring process using the Outcomes Assessment + Evidence Collection AEFIS solution. This process will be fleshed out in the future once the bridge between CANVAS and AEFIS is made, making the Core Curriculum Assessment submission process seamless for instructors using the LMS.
